Holm Oval cast iron casserole

Cast iron casserole with a matte black enameled coating in three layers. The casserole has a self-basting lid, which means that a relief inside the lid collects the hot steam and allows it to drip back into the casserole to enhance the dish's flavour. The cast iron retains heat well and distributes it evenly and efficiently. The casserole can be used on all heat sources, as well as in the oven and on the grill. It's important to lift the casserole when moving it - never slide it back and forth on the stove, as this can scratch it. Cast iron is not suitable for acidic foods and should never be used for long-term storage. Wooden, plastic or silicone utensils are recommended. It is advised to wash it by hand with warm water and detergent, including before first use. Ensure the cast iron is completely dry before storing it to prevent rust.
