Choose the sewing paper Clairefontaine, an eco-friendly material that combines the softness of fabric and the durability of leather for your stationery projects.
Sewing paper is a durable and environmentally friendly material that combines the qualities of fabric and the look of leather. It is both flexible and sturdy, making it easy to handle for creating tote bags, belts, wallets, notebook covers, tags, and other fashion accessories. It can be washed, ironed, sewn, glued, embroidered, coloured, embossed, punched, folded, and braided.
A roll of sewing paper measuring 50x100cm certified FSC. Paper thickness: 0.55mm.
Wash the paper before use (max. 40°C by hand or in the washing machine) to make it softer and easier to handle, giving it texture and a leather-like appearance.
Customisation: Once washed, the paper can be personalised as desired: Hand or machine sewing (3-3.5mm stitches recommended), gluing (craft glue, hot glue, or wood glue), painting, colouring, stamping (textile paints/inks), embossing / punching.
Tips: The crumpled appearance of the paper is enhanced after a tumble dryer cycle of the finished piece. This effect can be reduced by ironing the piece with a very hot iron or using steam. Iron metallic colours on the reverse side.
