The whole family can play the traditional Breton game of shuffleboard, a traditional wooden game played outdoors.
This game of skill and shuffleboard is simple in its rules, and can be played by 2 to 6 people. It's also very convivial (up to 8 people can play with an extra set of shuffles).
THIS BRETON SHUFFLEBOARD GAME IS MADE IN BRITTANY AT FRANCE.
RULES OF THE GAME RAPIDE:
As in pétanque, the aim is to be as close as possible to the small player (or master).
The premier player throws the "petit" who must stay on the board. The team furthest from the boy then plays until the pucks run out.
Scoring: 1 point for each puck between the small puck and the puck of the opponent closest to the small puck (as in pétanque).
Pucks that leave the board are offside.
BRETON PUCK GAME CHARACTERISTICS :
This game consists of a wooden board made of Poplar, edged with 700 mm x 700 mm x 30 mm, 12 cast-iron pucks, numbered 1 to 6 or 7 to 12, 56 mm in diameter, and a small cast-iron puck, called the master, 46 mm in diameter.
