Saint Seiya, also known as Knights of the Zodiac, is a Japanese animated series created by Masami Kurumada in 1986. It tells the story of the Bronze Knights who fight to protect the goddess Athena.

The fallen Sun god from Greek mythology and brother of Athena appears on Earth accompanied by his Corona knights and the resurrected fallen Gold knights. He announces the imminent end of the Earth and comes to fetch his beloved sister, Athena.
