The "front-to-back" movement is a natural movement of the parent carrying their child and has a positive effect on the vestibular system of the baby's brain (it is closely linked to the body's sensory systems) and there is a lot of this movement in the life of a newborn - because the parent often picks up and carries their baby, while the "right-to-left" movement stimulates the production of neural connections in the brain, which are responsible for the child's intellectual potential. What's more, the cradle can be locked in place by means of a special brake attached to the runners.
